London, William Nicol, 1827. Small double folio (1mo)? (43 x 32 cm). A finely printed polyglot edition in a neo-classical style on large-margined wove paper, with the Latin, Spanish and German on the versos and the English, Italian and French on the facing rectos, with the general title-page and four part-titles for the four libri. Later nineteenth-century green goatskin morocco, gold-tooled boards, spine, board edges and turn-ins, double combed and waved marbled endpapers, headbands in green and white, gilt edges. With the engraved armorial bookplate of the dedicatee, William Howley (1766-1848), Archbishop of Canterbury.

Composite atlas, with a letterpress title-page and 74 (of 78) engraved maps (71 double-page and 3 larger folding) all delightfully coloured by a contemporary hand. With maps by Claes Jansz. Visscher, Nicolaas Visscher I & II, Willem Jansz. Blaeu, Joan Blaeu, Johannes Janssonius, Frederick de Wit, Carel Allard, Gerard Valck, Leonard Valck, Petrus Schenk I, Pieter Mortier and Caspar Specht, all specified in a content list written in two hands. Eighteenth-century half calf, sprinkled-paper sides.

Octroy, by de Ho. Mo. Heeren Staten Generael, verleent aen de West-Indische Compagnie, in date den 3 Junii 1621.
[Amsterdam?], [Jan Jansz.?], [1651?]. Folio. A 10-page extract from a book (probably Isaac Commelin's Wilhelm en Maurits van Nassau) giving the text of the charter of the Dutch West India Company, with the large engraved coat of arms of the De Jong(h)e family (17 x 14.5 cm) pasted at the foot of the last page, and an engraved classical figure with military attributes pasted at the head of the first page. Further with 2 large (32 mm) woodcut decorated initial letters. Paste-paper wrappers in pink, purple, green and yellow (ca. 1800?).

Contemporary calf, gold-tooled spine and board edges, red and blue sprinkled edges. Lacking the engraved frontispiece and the map of Nova Zembla.
