Fourth revised and enlarged edition of the first Dutch-language notary book published in the Republic, soundly based on a lifelong notary's practice rather than academic theory. Pitlo praises the book, noting Maat as the pioneer in this area . Mast practiced at Rotterdam and Schiedam from 1629 to 1671 and first published his manual in 1642. After 1656 it was superceded by the notary book of Simon van Leeuwen, but was pirated in 1671.
Good but rather used copy. Binding stained, slightly loose in spine; first and last leaves slightly frayed at edges; slightly stained.
