[AUTOGRAPH]. DUC DE BOURBON, PRINCE DE CONDÉ, Louis II. [Letter to Mr de Cabiniets].
Paris, 9 February 1679. Autograph letter in French (22.7 x 16.8 cm), signed. In pen and ink.

In this letter he thanks the addressee for a letter with news concerning Poland. Louis II de Bourbon had himself been involved in negociations with a view to the election, at first of Condé's son Enghien, and afterwards of Condé himself, to the throne of Poland. These, after a long series of curious intrigues, were finally closed in 1674 by the veto of Louis XIV and the election of John Sobieski in 1676 as King of Poland. Very slightly foxed. In fine condition.
