Detailed scientific description in Dutch and Latin of the Chaetodon Agro, a tropical fish in the family of the angelfish or butterfly fish, from the collection of Johannes Albertus Schlosser. The original colouring is striking. Boddaert (1730-1796) discusses a new specification for this species of fish. The plate, drawn by G. Dadelbeek and engraved by F. de Bakker shows the fish from the side, with the fore part of a second fish. The half-title and the plate give the number II in Boddaert's series of scientific letters on zoology.
With a few stains and tattered edges in the first and last leaves, affecting only the margins in the plate. Otherwise fine and untrimmed, with the paper still crisp. Nice copy of a rare fish book.
