€ 775
An extensive collection of offprints of articles about (North and South) American birds, from a wide variety of (mostly United States) journals from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Many include title-pages and most include wrappers with the title on the front. In one case, the author added illustrations that had been (to his annoyance) omitted from the article as published in the journal. Several of the journals are now very hard to come by. There is a manuscript contents list at the end.
In very good condition, from the collection of René Ronsil, author of the standard bibliography of French ornithology Bibliographie ornithologique Française (1948). Edges of a few offprints slightly tattered and the extremities of the spine a bit scuffed. A collection of offprints on American ornithology that would now be almost impossible to assemble.
