First and only edition of the auction catalogue of one of the most celebrated collections of the 18th century, the art collection of Pierre Louis Paul Randon de Boisset (1708-1776), a high financial official of the French government. The collection contained paintings from the Italian school (Carraci, Reni etc.), Dutch school (Rubens, Bril, Jordaens, Van Goyen, Rembrandt etc.), French School (Poussin, Watteau etc.), marble and bronze sculptures, drawings and prints, a large collection of vases and other objects made of precious stones, Japanese lacquer, precious stones, furniture, porcelain etc.
