Very rare first and only edition, one of 150 copies: "tiré à cent cinquante exemplaires sur papier de Hollande", of an edited extract by Pierre Clement de Chappeville of Nouveau traité de vénerie by Antone Gaffet (Paris, 1742). P.C. de Chappeville was a "gentilhomme de la vènerie du Roy". He extracted the parts on falconry and ornithology from Gaffets more general 1742 work on hunting to make a separate monograph on those subjects.
