First edition of a guide to the nesting habits and breeding seasons of birds in India. It includes detailed information on various bird species, their habitats, and behaviours, organised by breeding month. The work also features illustrations and maps to aid birdwatchers. These are lithographed after drawings by the author, George Frederick Leycester Marshall (1843-1934), who was a colonel in the Indian army, a Companion in the Most Eminent Order of the Indian Empire, and a naturalist with a primary interest in birds and butterflies.
