First edition of a taxonomical work on fungi, by Wenzel Matern Streinz (1792-1876). "Taxonomists have always been great compilers. The first compilation of generic and specific names of fungi, both accepted names and synonyms, was that by Wesceslao M. Streinz in his Nomenclator fungorum of 1862" (Ainsworth).
With owner's stamps on flyleaf and title-page. With some manuscript annotations in the margins and some minor ink and water stains. Binding rubbed along the extremities. Overall in good condition. Ainsworth, p. 280; Stafleu & Cowan 13258; Volbracht 2064.
