Second edition of the Lisbon Pharmacopoeia composed by Manoel Joaquim Henriques Paiva (1752-1829), professor in the faculty of philosophy at the famous Coimbra University. The first edition was published in 1785. In 1807 followed his Farmacopeia naval ou colecção dos medicamentos simples e compostos que cumpre haver nas boticas dos navios, a pharmacopoeia for use on the Portuguese ships.
