First edition of an interesting treatise on brothels by the German physician Georg Franck Von Franckenau (1643-1704). As stated on title, the work was based on a public lecture given at the Heidelberg University in 1674, where the author held a chair in medicine. Franck gives a historical survey of the opinions on brothels and warns for the medical dangers of prostitution.
