A letter by Anton Harloff, a conservative politician and member of the Raad van Nederlandsch Indië, on a discharged soldier named "Holland", who had apparently written the Verbond van Nationaal Herstel to help him find his son a job in state's service. The soldier, living in a Kampong with his Indonesian wife, claims to be related to the House of Orange. Harloff, though, strongly advises his addressee not to comply with the request.
Gybland van Oosterhoff was a strong adherent of the House of Orange and one of the founders of the fascist Verbond van Nationaal Herstel.
Perforated, with slight loss of text. Ruststain of a paper clip on first 2 pages. Secretarial stamp on first page. Otherwise in good condition. For Gybland Oosterhoff: Bosmans, "Oosterhoff, Horace Hugo Alexander (1887-1937)", in BWN (online ed.).
