Rare 4to edition, printed and published (probably in the Netherlands) in the same year as the more common first 12mo edition, of a political pamphlet on French-English relations and hostilities, presented as a series of four letters from a Frenchman to a Dutchman during the early part of the French and Indian War (1754-1763) in America, on the eve of the Seven Years' War (1756-1763) in Europe. The English and French fought each other in both venues, trying to conquer each other's American colonies and secure their positions. Many American Indians sided with France. The present pamphlet is written from a French point of view and clearly designed to convince the Dutch that the English were the aggressors. Most of the battles discussed in the pamphlet took place in what is now Canada.
