First edition of a description of the island of Madeira, a Portuguese archipelago in the north Atlantic Ocean. With a section on the trees, fruits, flowers and ferns found on the island, as mentioned in the title, on pp. 164-181. A second edition was published in 1889.
A few occasional spots and a tear in the fold of the plan, otherwise a good copy. Arnold Arboretum, p. 680.
