The first part, devoted to the history of the bishops of Utrecht, is illustrated with 41 hand-coloured manuscript coats of arms of the bishops of Utrecht, distributed over 35 leaves. The section on Utrecht castles, manor houses, and nobility contains 237 hand-coloured manuscript coats of arms on 37 leaves.
